Our Story

Get to Know Us

The Linden Home

A dynamic organization dedicated to supporting reentry and transitional women as they rebuild their lives. We provide hands-on assistance with essentials like attending appointments, obtaining food, and securing safe, clean housing.

Our goal is to be a fully functioning home where system-impacted and formerly incarcerated women can live, learn life skills, and thrive in a safe, supportive environment

Community Health Focus

At The Linden Home, health and wellness are central to our work. We connect our residents with mental health resources, and holistic support

We accept the following insurance plans:

Our Mission

We empower women through housing, advocacy, leadership, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and opportunities for personal growth.

By offering prosocial activities and leadership opportunities, we foster confidence, community, and independence—helping each woman create a strong foundation for a successful future.

Leadership Academy

Our Leadership Academy provides participants with skill-building workshops, personal development training, and hands-on community engagement. Upon completion, graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and may be eligible for letters of achievement for court, helping demonstrate progress and accountability in their reentry journey

Sisterhood Conversations

During our Sisterhood conversations, we create a safe and nurturing space for women to come together, openly share their personal journeys, and exchange wisdom and encouragement with one another. These conversations are rooted in trust, support, and genuine connection. In addition, we host a hands-on activity each month designed to deepen engagement, strengthen relationships, and provide meaningful opportunities for growth, reflection, and collective healing.

Community Outreach

During our community outreach, we walk through the Tower District to give back to those less fortunate by providing food and clothing. Through this experience, our sisters learn the importance of gratitude, empathy, and service, while gaining a deeper understanding of the needs within our community. These moments encourage humility, strengthen our sense of responsibility to others, and inspire a lifelong commitment to giving back and uplifting those around us.

Financial Workshops

We host financial workshops sponsored by Chase Bank to help educate and empower our community with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve long-term financial success. These workshops focus on building financial literacy, setting attainable goals, and creating sustainable habits that support financial freedom and stability.

Rooted in Christ

Here, we provide a welcoming and supportive space for individuals to grow spiritually, ask meaningful questions, and build a strong foundation in their faith. Through engaging guest speakers, attendees are guided through essential biblical principles that encourage spiritual growth and practical application in everyday life. Key topics include understanding personal identity in Christ, learning who the Holy Spirit is and His role in our lives, and developing a firm spiritual foundation rooted in God’s Word. This experience helps participants strengthen their connection with God while gaining clarity, confidence, and purpose in their faith journey

Partnerships & Community Engagement

We are proud to partner with HandsOn Central California in Fresno. Through this partnership, individuals who are court-mandated to complete community service can fulfill their hours by contributing to The Linden Home’s programs and initiatives.

This not only supports our mission but also provides a meaningful way for community members to give back while gaining valuable skills and connections

Our Vision

We take an integrated approach to transforming the lives of marginalized individuals facing systemic barriers. Our programs enrich the mind, body, and spirit, helping each woman ignite her personal purpose and life passions.

This vision is rooted in the lived experience of our founder, Cia Mislang, who overcame the challenges of being system-impacted and formerly incarcerated. Through physical discipline, determination, and community support, she transitioned into a thriving life and now leads by example, demonstrating love, acceptance, and the power of change.

The Linden Home is her legacy of hope and transformation
